Elementary School
Energy Savings Checklist
LOCATION MEASURES SUGGESTED RESPONSIBILITY

Administrative Offices, Classrooms, Computer labs, Media Centers and Portable Classrooms

  • Lights in wash room off (if switch exists)
  • Outside windows and doors closed
  • Storage room lights off
  • Office lights off when not occupied
  • Computers, Printers and Monitors off at end of daily use
  • Copy machines off at end of day
  • VCR and TV off
  • Evaluate existing air conditioning runtime schedules for possible reduction in hours of operation
